Newcomer Franklin Ritch joins Adam, Joe, and Arwen in the ArieScope Studio to discuss the making of his debut feature THE ARTIFICE GIRL. From learning his craft through acting in theater and making short films… to tackling the incredibly difficult subject matter of child predators and artificial intelligence with a minimal cast in an (almost) single location story for his first feature film… to the decision to cast himself as one of the main characters… to working with the great Lance Henriksen… to the delicate process of directing a child actor through heavy dialogue that deals with child abuse and futuristic technology… to shooting during the pandemic on a schedule that broke production up over a year and a half… THE ARTIFICE GIRL is a film that begs to be seen and Franklin is definitely a filmmaker to watch!
