Filmmaker Kyra Gardner may have only just graduated film school a few months ago but she’s already one of the best examples we know of an emerging young talent making huge strides in the world of cinema today! From trying to decide between a career as a veterinarian or an army nurse and instead choosing filmmaking as her calling… to observing her father at work on sets (Tony Gardner is an FX legend – check out our conversation with him in Ep 246)… to having her first short film selected for the 39th Cleveland International Film Festival at age 16 (the youngest participant ever!)… to having her short form documentary THE DOLLHOUSE acquired by Universal Studios for inclusion on the CULT OF CHUCKY home video (she was only 19!)... to winning a DGA Student Award at age 22 for her latest short film PHOEBE… at just 22 years old Kyra’s list of accomplishments is enough to motivate anyone looking to pick up a camera!
